DOHA ASIAN GAMES, 2006

Well, I will start with my professional stint - my encounter with many sports personalities @ Doha Asian Games, 2006.
I was part of the Central Sports Production team of All India Radio
.
GEET SETHI - ME - ASHOK SHANDILYA

We arrived to a chill welcome @ Doha International Airport early December, 2006, a separate lounge and customs clearance was set up for the media entourage.
It was midnight when we checked into our plush accommodation provided by Games organisers. We straight away jumped into business the very next morning.
KONERU HUMPY, WORLD JR. CHESS CHAMPION

Once the curtain lifted on the games, I was entrusted with a unique sport SEPAK TEKRAW (origin Malaysia) followed by pool games (dont get me wrong -  i.e. billiards, snooker, carrom billiards, etc) and then Judo, Shooting, Handball, Football, Sailing &  you name it, covered most of the sports which I thoroughly cherish even today.
PANKAJ ADVANI, WORLD BILLIARDS CHAMP

The icing on the cake was live interviews on the entire network of AIR with the World Champions Pankaj Advani (Billiards), Koneru Humpy (Chess) and also a thrilling live report from the middle of the Sea covering the sailing event for gold involving India & Singapore (India had to settle with silver). Thanks to the authorities who placed trust in me. Some of the reports I innovated were appreciated!
I am posting images from DOHA ASIAN GAMES, 2006 clicked by me on Minolta SLR 7000 camera (kodak Max 400 film).
Feedback  welcome.
